My thought :
Of course the ATI HD5870 win the race as you can see in all these benchmarks , but the difference in price is about 100$ or more .
And with an easy oveclocking the HD 5850 you can put the 100$ on your pocket and attend the performance of the HD 5870 , you have the final choice now .
