ASUS EP121 Pad ftablet PC Specifications

ASUS launched the ASUS Eee Pad EP121 features an Intel CULV processors, Windows 7, USB port and an integrated webcam.
EP121 12-inch tablet is actually thinner, lighter and faster than the Apple iPad. It is 12.2mm thick, weighs 1.48 pounds (675g) and is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo CULV processor (either an SU7xxx series or SU9xxx series chip at 1.3GHz or above). In contrast, the iPad is 12.7mm thick, weighs 1.6 pounds (726g) and is powered by an ARM-based Apple A4 1GHz custom SoC design.

ASUS report price range between $399 and $499.
Unlike the iPad, the ASUS Eee Pad EP121 offers the great convenience of being able to be docked in landscape mode. This seemingly insignificant but rather important design aspect was one of the main reasons why many prospective tablet customers chose not to buy into the first-generation iPad. Mobile productivity is designed in a way that is best optimized in a landscape screen environment, and the only way to do this on an iPad is to purchase a $69 dollar Apple Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard which faces occasional connectivity issues with OS 3.2.

DirectX 11 Benchmark Tool Aliens vs. Predator

Rebellion, SEGA and Twentieth Century FOX have released the Aliens vs. Predator DirectX 11 Benchmark to the public.

As with many of the already released DirectX 11 benchmarks, the Aliens vs. Predator DirectX 11 benchmark leverages your DirectX 11 hardware to provide an immersive game play experience through the use of DirectX 11 Tessellation and DirectX 11 Advanced Shadow features.

In Aliens vs. Predator, DirectX 11 Geometry Tessellation is applied in an effective manner to enhance and more accurately depict HR Giger’s famous Alien design. Through the use of a variety of adaptive schemes, applying tessellation when and where it is necessary, the perfect blend of performance and visual fidelity is achieved with at most a 4% change in performance.

Your DirectX 11 hardware also allows for higher quality, smoother and more natural looking shadows as well. DirectX 11 Advanced Shadows allow for the rendering of high-quality shadows, with smoother, artifact-free penumbra regions, which otherwise could not be realized, again providing for a higher quality, more immersive gaming experience.

Let’s not forget ATI Eyefinity Technology! As an ATI Eyefinity Validated title, Aliens vs. Predator has undergone extensive testing to ensure a great experience, providing an easy path to a truly immersive gaming experience.

    MSI logo in 3DMark 11 worth $50000

No matter what anyone says about its pros and cons, 3DMark is still the most widely considered benchmark among the world’s top system builders. The launch of 3DMark 2011 in September will cause a massive data jam in server centres across the globe as hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts battle to get a copy of the program that will let them know if their new machine is as cool and powerful as the owner wishes. If Futuremark uses its normal marketing tactics, then some form of this download will be free. Other versions will cost between tens and hundreds of dollars – according to how you want to use them.

That leaves one question. What was the cheque our spy satellite photographed on a table in the Espoo Curry Palace? Right now, it would appear to be a cheque for at least $50,000 from MSI to Futuremark, in order to brand a hot air balloon with the Taiwanese manufacturer’s logo. Interesting.

GTX490 is dual GPU card , dual GTX 470 GPU ?

kitguru report some information about the upcoming Nvidia Geforce GTX490 , its a dual GPU as we report that , and to be shown likely using dual GTX470.

Behind closed doors at Computex, nVidia is likely to be showing its most important partners a very serious piece of new kit. The GTX490. Remember when the 7950 GX2 was considered power-hungry for pulling 110w in 3D testing? Looking back at that era, it seems that ATI and nVidia just weren’t trying hard enough.

Firstly, it shows that the GTX490 is a dual-GPU card.
It’s likely to use the Fermi GTX470 processors, but we’re unable to confirm the exact clocks etc.

    3DMark 11 graphics screenshots/video & features

Guru3d unveiled an exclusive press-kit from FutureMark regarding the up and coming 3DMark 11, a video on the DeepSea scene and some screenshots:

Deep Sea is a demonstration of DirectX 11 technologies created using an early development build of the 3DMark 11 engine. The Deep Sea build of 3DMark11 does not represent the final scope of the benchmark and does not produce a 3DMark score. There are no plans to release the Deep Sea tech demo to the public. The Deep Sea video trailer was rendered by the 3DMark 11 engine using readily available DirectX 11 hardware, captured at high resolution and then compressed into video formats suitable for the Internet. The trailer features submersibles exploring the sea floor. Volumetric lighting illuminates the seabed with tessellation used to add rich detail to the rock, coral and manmade structures. Post processing is used to create depth of field and other lens effects. The music is an original composition.
Key features of the Deep Sea scene will be the usual DX11 gimmicks:

    • Tesselation
    • Depth of field
    • Volumetric Lighting
    • DirectCompute
    • Multi-threading

Buyer get GTX 465 Instead of GTX 470 from Galaxy

Overclock.net site user Moratorius bought Galaxy GC GTX 470 graphics card, but after the introduction of it were assigned to as yet unpublished own GeForce GTX 465-model. GPU-Z program identified the GeForce GTX 465's information correctly.

Galaxy was apparently accidentally equipped graphics card to GeForce GTX 465's with bios and updated the graphics card GeForce GTX 470 in the BIOS file, were assigned to the normal GTX 470-model. Moratorius has published several pictures of the video card and screen shots and driven test programs such as 3DMark Vantage tests through both bioseilla. Initial tests of the GeForce GTX 470 was about 27% of the powerful than the GTX 465 model.

    Benchmarks:
    • GeForce GTX 465: P13529
    • GeForce GTX 470: P17203

    External graphics card by MSI

MSI will show off its Graphics Upgrade Solution at Computex, it's an external graphics card that connects to your laptop via an ExpressCard device. The Game Upgrade Solution will be sold in a bundle with the Radeon HD 5670 for between $169 - $229, but you'll also be able to buy the Game Upgrade Solution on its own for just $99 - $109.
You won't be able to use a faster card though, you're not only limited by the ExpressCard interface but also by the power adapter which delivers a max of 84W. Future versions will use a USB 3.0 interface, but given all the limitations I think this will remain a pretty small niche market. All data being pumped through an ExpressCard slot that has the equivalent to PCI-Express 2.0 1x bandwidth, arguably anything faster would be entirely wasted anyway.
