A laptop with motion sensor soon with Windows 8

A quite interesting idea is to put a Kinect like motion sensor inside a laptop, that's what a software developers have found on the Kinect for Windows SDK.

Windows 8 will surely support the Microsoft Kinect leading to a new experience of computers entertainment and interaction between the user and the PC, Microsoft see the future inside the laptops and mobile when it think of supporting a motion sensor embedded instead of the traditional laptop web-cam, that for sure will make its way into tablet later.

The Daily reports that there are already couple of ASUS prototype laptops available for testing propose running Windows 8 OS replacing their webcam with an integrated motion sensor device or lets say its own Kinect-alternative WAVI Xtion.

Radeon HD 7950 reference design pictures

The official reference design of the second HD 7900 series graphic card is pictured, just like the design of the HD 7970, the HD 7950 use a dual slot size and feature a low cost heat sink, but using a different PCB design than the HD 7970, based on the Tahiti pro GPU the Radeon HD 7950 will be a good price/performance video card, spotted at OBR-Hardware.

Next Xbox 3/720 Performance and features leaked

More information appeared about the Xbox 3, the next generation gaming console from Microsoft, this time IGN said that the next Xbox will be six times faster than the current Xbox 360 reporting the GPU used inside.

The source said the the Xbox 3 or Xbox 720 (no official name until now) will feature a graphic core with the power as the AMD Radeon HD 6600 series graphics GPU and precise with the Radeon HD 6670, so that's quite strange to compare an 40nm GPU on the HD 6670 with the next process technology of the next Xbox which will be using a 32nm Silicon-on-Insulator manufacturing process.

Another good and bad news: The folk over IGN report also the supporting of DirectX 11 and a full support of a 1080p resolution gaming, the release date of the console will be on October or November 2013, to make it clear bellow list of specifications rumoured about the next Xbox .

Now we got some good and bad news, the good one is that the next Xbox console will support blue ray discs allowing developers to pass the limitation problems faced on many Xbox 360 titles like Skyrim, which support a 9GB double layer DVD, the next generation Microsoft's Xbox will support up to 50GB double-layer Blu-ray disc.

Now the bad news is that Microsoft designed the next Xbox to restrict the play of used video games discs, so with this everyone has his own copies to play, no borrow and no selling of used old games, this is what Microsoft want, its all about the money.

Xbox 3/720 feature list:

- Console code name: Xbox 3, Xbox or Xbox Next Loop.

- The graphics chip inside : close to the Radeon HD 6670 (DirectX 11, 1080p native multi-screen support and 3D support).

- Accessories: pad and Kinect 2 (improving the current version with advanced voice recognition, lip reading and sensing emotions).

- Features: Blu-ray player up to 50GB, internet connection with the possibility of playing games in cloud gaming using the streaming, Xbox Live with new interface.

- Operating system: simplified version of Windows 8.

- First presentation to the press: E3 2012, on June.

- Games: some developments have already begun for several months on prototype versions. Development kits would be distributed in final version in August 2012.

- The release date: end of 2013.

- The price: Still unknown but we guess it will be about 550-650$ first launch.

Nvidia: GTX 680 will beat the HD 7970

The most powerful single GPU graphic card is now the AMD Radeon HD 7970, AMD is happy and proud with its all new technology used inside the Tahiti GPU with the first 28nm GPU in the world, but wait Nvidia see that from another view.

Today a high ranking Nvidia official said during a meeting with Nordic Hardwareman that the all new AMD HD 7970 is not as powerful as we expected: "Honestly, we expected more from our competitor’s new architecture," and he inform that before the release of the HD 7970, Nvidia has compiled some performance estimation of the HD 7970, was expected to be more powerful specially it use an all new process technology.

So may be this is why Nvidia isn't hurry in releasing its next generation Kepler based Graphic card, and Nvidia here is confident and believe that the next Geforce GTX 680 will leave the current HD 7970 on the bottom

But what is unknown is the release date of the Kepler graphic card, which will be available somewhere on the first half of 2012,

the same Nvidia representative hinted that the new architecture could launch by the end of March.

HD 7950 specifications confirmed, GPU-Z screen

This is the confirmation picture of the baby, surfaced on the net here is a GPUZ screenshot of the AMD Radeon HD 7950 video card.

The graphic card use 28nm process and Tahiti Pro GPU, and this one confirm also the 1792 shaders units, 3GB of GDDR5 video memory is there interconnected with the core using 384 bit bus width, the clocks speed are 880Mhz for the GPU core and 1250Mhz for the memory (5000Mhz effective), the graphic card brand is unknown of this one, also keep in mind that it might be a factory-OC version.

Xbox 720 chips in production, first sample soon

About the next generation's gaming console, Xbox 720, Microsoft seems to start the production of system core chip, a news surfaced at Softpedia say that the first samples of the chip which will be codenamed "Oban" will be ready by the end of next month.

Oban Xbox 720 core will be based on the 32nm SOI (silicon-on-insulator) process technology on 300mm wafers, the first wave of the chip production will be installed on the next-gen Xbox dev kits designed for developers, about 10K units, so the first dev kit will be on a developer studio in March.

Until now, little is known about the hardware specifications of the chips that will go into the Xbox Next 720, although it looks like it that Oban will be based on the PowerPC architecture, as the one on the current Xbox 360 processor.

So Oban chip should also include eDRAM memory if its PowerPC architecture based, while the graphics core could be based on an AMD Graphics Core Next (GCN) design technology, more specs to come for sure about this one.

Radeon HD 7950, HD 7000 specification and price

Soon the AMD Radeon HD 7950 will officially launched, a lower version of the HD 7970, specifications of the new AMD graphic cards family using 28nm process technology are more and more leaking on the net.

First, donanimhaber leaks specifications of the Radeon HD 7950 code named "Tahiti Pro" which will be core clocked at 800MHz and 5000MHz for memory clock speeds , using 384 bit memory bus that's lower than the flagship HD 7970 to lower the final price tag.

The price of the HD 7950 is 100$ to 150$ lower than the HD 7970 that mean it will be around 420$, that's nice launching price for a 28nm graphic card, if you want to lead the talks with your friends using an old 40nm GPU core the HD 7950 will be a KO hit.

Now more and more specifications (without clock speed) leaked on a table which show performance and expected price from AMD for many desktop Radeon HD 7000 graphic cards coming this year, even the HD 7990 dual GPU is there, take them with a grain of salt :

GK-110-485-A2 the GTX 680 GPU picture surfaced

Somewhere on a Chinese forum, a guy surfaced a picture of the Nvidia's next generation graphics card GPU, called GK110 GPU, this GPU will be used inside the next Geforce GTX 680 video card.

The one showed a picture of a GPU die with a A2 revision, on the first picture the reference name was removed, but the second one show a GPU reference name "GK-110-485-A2", the new generation is codenamed Kepler and here Nvidia use for the first time a TSMC’s 28nm processing technology (AMD just done that on the HD 7970 ).

Even after the release of the direct competitor, the AMD Radeon HD 7970 which also use the 28nm process, Nvidia does not announce any official release date for its Kepler products until this moment, rumours said that it will be available in February or at the next CEBIT, for now just check out the pictures:

Safe run infected exe file on your PC with sandbox

Your favorite software or application is infected and you must run it now but you are afraid from the virus infection ? Then the solution is here, on this tuturial you will learn an the easiest and safest way to run an infected software or .exe file on your computer with zero risk to spread the infection to all your system.

The method is to use something called Sandbox, which safety run any application or software isolated from your Widows OS environment, so with that the infection will go no where into other .exe files.

Steps :

First you need to download a tool called Sandboxie over here and install the software.
Then the first thing you must do before using sandboxie, is to add the infected exe file to the exception list of your Antivirus software ( for example on AVG, go to tools - settings and under antivirus menu there is the exception list)
Then open sanboxie with 'Run any program sandboxed'.

Chose browse and select the exe file that you want to run safety and click OK.

That's it the software must run as usual and with no risk of infection (use it at the good way guys ), if you have any problem please comment.

Resident Evil 6 gameplay and release date PC, Xbox 360 and PS3

Now 16 years old is the age of the most famous horror survivor video game Resident evil, the game was known as Biohazard and was first released for Playstation on March 1996 (that was a wonderful memory), now 2012, Capcom will release the sixth episode of the game, Resident Evil 6 .

Today Capcom released a new video trailer showing some gameplay frames of the upcoming episode, the video trailer show Chris and Leon as they fight back a global outbreak against humans infected with the virus T, in addition to some huge zombies that make us remember these on Outbreak and resident evil 3.

The game will be available for Xbox 360 and Playstation3 and the good news also for PC, but the bad news is that you will wait all this year to play the game, the release date is set to 20 November 2012..

For now, just watch the video and wait for the release of Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City which will be out as soon as the 20 March 2012 come :) .

Windows 8 minimum system requirement for tablet devices

After the flexible compatibility of the next Microsoft Windows 8 on PC showed after testing the leaked Windows 8 preview version, here are Engadget guys leaks a compiled list of the minimum system requirement for Tablet devices, check'em bellow :

Controversially, ARM-based tablet users won't be able to deactivate secure booting and (therefore) install another operating system. Clearly that's not gone down well with people -- and a straw poll of our editors agreed
Ctrl + Alt + Del for tablets without physical keyboards will be supplanted by Windows Key + Power.
There's a mandatory five points of touch -- which we already knew thanks to our hands on with Synaptics at CES.
If your gear has NFC, physical "touch marks" will be visible on the hardware so people know where to plonk their devices.
All tablets must have Power, Rotation Lock, Windows Key, Volume Up and Volume Down buttons.
After all operating system updates, there must be 10GB free space, all machines must run UFEI Firmware.
All hardware must include one USB 2.0 port, a magnetometer, speakers, Bluetooth 4.0, WLAN, gyroscope and accelerometer.
Any camera must have a minimum resolution of 720p.
The minimum display for any tablet is 1366 x 768.
You'll be able to update your graphics drivers without rebooting.

Nvidia GTX 680 release date rumoured

A new release date for the new generation of graphic cards from nVIDIA is rumoured out today, the news say that the flag ship Kepler codenamed graphic cards Geforce GTX 680 will be released in February .

According to Chipphell website the direct competitor of the released AMD Radeon HD 7970 could be released some time in February before Cebit.

So as you can smell from this news that nVIDIA want to put its 28nm high end single-GPU graphic card on the rail very fast with the current HD 7970, feels that the nVIDIA one will roll faster or on the same speed, with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory and GPU clock around 800Ghz.

The Yeston HD 7970 will feature a 384 bit GDDR5 memory bus, using a 8+1+1 VRM, Yeston will most likely use a top-flow cooler, and hence made room for two DVI connectors next to one each of HDMI 1.4a and standard DisplayPort 1.2, The dual-BIOS feature of AMD's high-end reference HD 7970 PCB is blanked out on this PCB.

Hidden folders problem/Virus fix solution for Windows

Hello guys, you are here because your folders are forced to be hidden, so today I want to show you a small trick that help you to get rid of the hidden folder virus or script (you can name it what you want) form your Windows xp, Vista or 7 without formatting your flash disk, partition or deleting the folders and recreate them.

Antivirus or antispyware will not help you to fix this problem even after the virus is cleaned, so to fix back your folders statue you have just to use a small command line, lets move to the steps:

First press "win button + R", type "cmd" and click OK, or open command prompt window using administrator right.

On the DOS window type in the line bellow, where the red 'F' is the letter of your partition of flash disk (if the hidden folders are in sub folder write the full path):
F:\>attrib.exe -r -s -h /s /d F:\*.*
Click enter, wait, and there you go, all your hiden folders are back !

Nvidia inspector is a very small tool that do help a lot, its basically an nVIDIA GPU-Z tool with a overclocking feature plus a fan speed control option, the new version include some fixes and improvements, you can give it a try.

Orbmu2k has released this program, which seems to NVIDIA graphics cards and offers information on tools for GPU and memory clock speed, GPU operating voltage and fan speed increase.
This is a quite simple user interface with an application that will rely entirely NVIDIA drivers, so there is reason to be downloaded from NVIDIA's website WHQL-certified driver. The program offers roughly the same information as the GPU-Z program, but with a few extra spice box.

Funny and very failing if this is true, Intel demonstrate at CES 2012 a DirectX 11 game Formula one 2011 running on an Ivy Bridge based Ultrabook and using the Logitech G27 racing wheels, but if you take look at the bottom of the screen you will see a control bar of a video playback! but wait I don't think that Intel idiot that level, may be that's a streaming live gaming rather that a playback video :/

AMD Trinity APU specifications and performance Vs Liano

Another news about AMD, this time is about the next generation of its APU chips, which is named "Trinity", the new chip is supposed to be released in the next Q2 this year, today some picture and information about the APU die and architecture leaked on the net.

AMD "Trinity" APU is the 2nd generation of the current Buldozer CPU architecture using DirectX 11 graphics chip that pack 384 Radeon cores inside and supporting up to 2133Mhz DDR3 system memory, 4MB of L2 cache (2MB for each module), AMD promise that the new APU will be 20% faster than the present AMD Liano APU, also the new APU use the third generation of turbo core to add more controle of every Mhz and press more on the final APU TDP

The hole size of the new APU die is approximately 240 square mm, which is slightly larger than Llano die that is 228 square mm.

SAN FRANCISCO – Jan. 5, 2012 – Fusion-io today announced that it achieved one billion input and output operations per second (IOPS) in a technology demonstration conducted at DEMO Enterprise: An Evening of Innovation, in a preview of the company's latency reducing Auto Commit Memory (ACM) extension, part of the Fusion ioMemory subsystem.

"Rethinking how to provide powerful modern CPUs with the data they need through sophisticated software architectures has enabled us to deliver the ultra low latency performance needed to achieve one billion IOPS with existing hardware and Fusion ioMemory solutions," said David Flynn, Fusion-io Chairman and CEO. "This breakthrough is not something that could be achieved with hardware alone. This demonstration used eight HP ProLiant DL370 servers, each equipped with eight ioDrive2 Duos, to break the one billion IOP barrier when transferring 64 byte data packets. This was a preview of an extension to the ioMemory architecture called Auto Commit Memory, which significantly reduces latency and system overhead in transferring data. Auto Commit Memory leverages the unique architecture of ioMemory to reliably deliver data at peak performance levels. Data integrity is assured by the ioMemory architecture's ability to flush all in-flight data, even if the power is abruptly cut, without the need for super capacitors or batteries. The Auto Commit Memory extension will provide developers with new semantics to directly control the datapath to persistent memory, introducing a fundamentally new building block for how modern data systems are designed.

"Breaking the one billion IOPS barrier is certainly a powerful way to demonstrate our ioMemory architecture. As an engineer, what really excites me about extensions to our core technology such as ACM are the possibilities introduced when flash is utilized as a new memory tier," said Steve Wozniak, Fusion-io Chief Scientist. Windows 8 Reset and Refresh Features

Microsoft show off new features on Windows8 the next generation of operating system, the new features are shown on a screen-shots, a reset and refresh feature that make you able to reset and restore Windows8 settings, applications and do a system clean up and reinstall the OS, something like on a mobile OS.

How to do a reset or refresh on Windows8:

"To do a reset or refresh the users will need to boot into the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) that will handle the actual data erasing process and proceed with re-installing the operating system. The drive format can either be 'Quick' to save time, or 'Thorough', to ensure that the data erased will be very hard to restore."

Another Refresh option involves creating an image of Windows 8 using the recimg.exe command line tool, and restoring it when things go south.

"After you've created the custom image, whenever you refresh your PC, not only will you be able to keep your personal data, settings, and Metro style apps, but you can restore all the desktop apps in your custom image as well," says Desmond Lee on the Building Windows 8 blog. "And if you buy a PC that already comes with a recovery image on a hidden partition, you'll be able to use the tool to switch from using the hidden partition to instead use the custom image you've created."

These new features prove to be time saving options with a limited or full Windows reinstall process which will keep your applications and/or backup your settings, currently available on the preview version of Windows 8.

This is a comment question these days, what is the difference between the Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 and Galaxy S2 i9100G, and what this 'G' mean, is the i9100G run faster than the i9100 and is there any hardware difference ?

Lets begin with a clear hardware specification comparison between the two versions:

ASUS the Taiwanese computer industry manufacturer is preparing under its labs new nice fasionable netbooks EeePC line which are more customizable, colourful and compact

Radeon HD 7970 OC to 1.7Ghz and Benchmark results

Another news about the Radeon HD 7970, this one is about someone who managed to pass the limit and set the GPU frequency of the yet released HD 7970 up to a whooping 1.7Ghz and the memory clock to 8Ghz !

The guy also completed a benchmark and publish the results, at MyDrivers community, he achieved that result with a volt mood and some LN2 liquid nitrogen cooling solution and set the clock speed to 1700 MHz core of the Radeon 7970, and 2000 MHz -- (8.00 GHz effective datarate) GDDR5 memory speed with no problems.

The results are impressive with P15063 in 3DMark 2011 and P54725 in 3DMark Vantage, check out the snaps bellow:

AMD A8-3870K BE overclocked to 5.8Ghz

A guy from Japan managed to squeeze the AMD A8-3870K Black Edition processor to the last drop and make it scream.

The guy overclocked the CPU up to 96% of its standard clock speed, and the GPU OCed 121% of its base clock speed, the results are 5,875 MHz for the AMD A8-3870K Black Edition with a base clock speed of 125 MHz multiplied by 47.0x and for the integrated GPU it reach 1,327 MHz from its default 600 MHz all that was done with a CPU voltage set to an aggressive 1.872V !

The system was too unstable to run any benchmarks, the motherboard used was an ASUS F1A75-V Pro motherboard, G.Skill RipjawsZ memory and a lot of Liquid Nitrogen LN2 to cool the CPU down, check pictures :

The beginning of 2012 is promising with the release of first 28nm GPUs from AMD, and if you could wait until February you could get the AMD Radeon HD 7770 using 28nm process technology for only 149$.

The AMD Radeon HD 7770 based on the Cape Verde XT chip will come with 900MHz as a GPU clock and 896 stream processors, 56 texture units and 16 ROPs, the memory is clocked at 1375MHz (5.5GHz GDDR5 effective) with 1GB of size which is interconnected with the GPU using a 128-bit bus width resulting of a bandwidth up to 88GB/s all that with only 149$.

Following the HD 7770 is the HD 7750 based on Cape Verde PRO, using at 900MHz clock speed and 832shaders, 52 TMUs and 16 ROPs. The memory speed is 5.0GHz bringing the total possible bandwidth to 80 GB/s for its 1GB of memory and using a 128bit bus, the HD 7750 will be tagged for $10 less, or $139.

How to force Ultra DMA for your Hard Drive or optical drive instead of PIO (Working solutions)

Hello guys, today on our 'How to' we're goind to learn how to force your HDD or optical drive device to use Ultra DMA instead of PIO or multimode mode, these last two mode are too slow and use lot of CPU resources, but the Ultra DMA mode use the access to RAM as a buffer memory instead of direct access to the CPU, this help to boost read/write speed.

For me the PIO or multimode mode make me sick when I cant swich to DMA specially when I swich between HDDs whithout shutting down my PC (may be this is strange method for someone to swhich HDDs but it works).

OK lest show how to force te DMA now, you just need to access the bellow Windows registry address by going to Start->Run and type "regedit" then go to this address:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

You will find something like subfolder or subkeys like 0000, 0001, 0002, etc, the 0001 is the primary IDE channel, 0002 the secondary and so on, search for your affected IDE channel on the Windows device manager and delete the whole sub-folder, then restart your computer and your done, the DMA must be set.

A horse-power server from Intel appeared with up to 1TB of RAM and quad physical Xeon E5-4600 series processor, reported VR-Zone.

The motherboard use Socket 2011 and supporting three DIMMs per channel, or 12 in total, it would result for 48 DIMMs DDR3 up to 1600Mhz on OC, altogether on a quad processor board, the the 'Lizard Head Pass' S4600LH if a good liquid cooling system in-there, it could actually fit into 1U platform! Else, it's 2U.

Specifications heads are eight cores for each CPU resulting to 32 cores and four Intel C600 patsburg chipsets.

In addition to that, there are 160 PCIe v3 lanes in total on such platform, with this such power you can reach an imaginary processing power.

Some interesting news leaked today on the web exactly from TPU guys, the news is about Intel and mobile world.

The news confirming the entrance of Intel to the mobile processing chip production after the announcement of the next-generation Atom mobile platform here is the first true SoC (System-on-a-Chip) from their labs, the Intel Medfield SoC, the new product will target mobile devices combining four units and functions into one chip.

The Intel chip will use 32 nm process technology and its direct competitors are Apple's A-Series, NVIDIA Tegra, Qualcomm Snapdragon, Samsung Exynos (the only one that use 32nm process) and Texas Instruments OMAP.

Very soon the Intel Midfield will be shown on CES 2012, but today some benchmark results leaked from Intel labs comaring it with the Tegra 2, Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 and Samsung Exynos showing a lead of performance using Caffeine 3 tool when tested using a prototype device made by Intel using this chip, has the following specifications :

Intel doesn't has a Windows 7 version for this graphic chipset, after a long search I managed that the solution for this problem is to force install the available .inf driver over Windows 7, this graphic chipset is avalable on old PC such as Dell Optiplex.

Install steps:

unzip the file to a folder.
Go to device manager, and update the Graphics chipset to search on the folder.
Install the driver anyway.
Thats it you can restart your computer and get all resolutions set and all video and games play.

Today LG announce the lead of the OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) TV panel and set the world record of largest panel available in the market with a full 55" of OLED display pleasure and over 100,000:1 contrast ratio with wider colour gamut than that produced by LCD panels.

Superior Image Quality in an Ultra Thin Design

OLED, a medium that controls pixels is a departure from LCD panels which utilize liquid crystals. The new technology allows light emitting diodes to self-generate light and features a reaction velocity to electric signals over 1000 times faster than liquid crystal.

The environmentally conscious will also appreciate LG Display's 55" OLED TV panel. While light sources in backlight units, like LCD panels, must always be kept on, the OLED panel allows diodes to be turned on or off which enables lower power consumption than conventional LCD panels.

The Oxide TFT type that LG Display utilizes is similar to the existing TFT process, with the simple difference lying in replacing Amorphous Silicon with Oxide. Moreover, the Oxide TFT type produces identical image quality to high performance of LTPS base panels at significantly reduced investment levels.

Additionally, LG Display uses White OLED (WOLED). WOLED vertically accumulates red, green, and blue diodes. With white color light emitting from the diode, it displays screen information through color layers below the TFT base panel, which leads to a lower error rate, higher productivity, and a clearer Ultra Definition screen via the benefits of small pixels. Further, it is possible to realize identical colors in diverse angles via color information displayed through a thin layer. A recent BIOS update to the ECS A890GXM-A2 and the Jetway HA18 motherboards based on the AMD 9-series and supporting the AM3+ socket show that AMD will very soon launch a new eight core series of microprocessors with name AMD Phenom II X8.

The new serie contain the Phenom II X8 2420/3020/2520 and the Phenom II X8 2820 based on Zambezi design (Bulldozer micro-architecture) with a low clock-speeds and price

Jetway lists the new processors as "engineering samples", but a well-known Japanese observer/blogger Northwood.blog60.fc2.com points to an alleged ECS A890GXM-A2 CPU support list that calls the chips as AMD Phenom II X8.
The list of AMD Phenom II X8 microprocessors includes four models:

He said that the current Sony Playstation 3 which is launched in 2006 is in the middle of its life in another word the Playstation 3 will stay with us until 2015 if not more, everyone remember the PS2 which lived up to 10 years, so Sony will keep its symphony and squeeze the money to the latst drops.

SkyStar 2 driver error problem fix Windows 7 / latest driver

Many SkyStar 2 PCI users face a problem when reinstalling their DVB-S PCI card to find them selves with a code 10 error for an incompatible hardware after a successful driver installation.

This error is caused by a bad computability for Windows 7 and/or a bad IRQ code set on windows 7, and in my case I managed to fix it by some easy steps, you can try if you have the same problem:

Solution: So to fix the driver problem first uninstall the old driver from your operating system, shutdown the PC and remove the skystar 2 PCI card, start your computer without the card leave it until widows start and then shutdown the computer and install the card back into another PCI ports, start your computer and install the latest driver over Here or Here.

After the release of Radeon HD 7970, we spotted today the specifications of the Radeon HD 7950, a lower version with a lower price also for the enthusiasts featuring the same Graphics Core Next (GCN) 28nm GPU architecture .

The Radeon HD 7950 is a Tahiti-class GPU code named "Tahiti Pro" same as the one on the HD 7970 but with lower Compute Units number.

A slide leaked show specifications of the card, with lower transistors number 4.3 billion transistor, 1792 Compute Units compared to 2048 units on the HD 7970, the GPU is connected to 3GB of GDDR 5 using the same 384-bit bus with 5Gbps transfer speed, one DVI, one HDMI and two mini-DisplayPort video outputs as well as PCI Express 3.0 and DirectX 11.1 compatibility, the memory speed is not announced yet but we guess it would be about 150Mhz lower than the HD 7970.

The price and release date is still unknown, for sure they will appear very soon so check us as soon as possible.

ASRock AD2500B-ITX, AD2700B-ITX and AD2700-ITX specifications and pictures

The Taiwanese company ASRock today introduce three Mini-ITX Cedar Trail motherboards AD2500B-ITX, AD2700B-ITX and AD2700-ITX targeting HTPC users using small form factor size which will be shipped very soon.

This family uses a 32nm Atom processor which is pre-installed with a passive cooling system, the AD2500B-ITX feature an Atom D2500 CPU with two cores clocked @ 1.86 GHz and has a1 MB L2 cache, the AD2700B-ITX and AD2700-ITX use of a higher-clocked D2700 (@ 2.13 GHz ). All three models have a passive cooling solution for the CPU.

The AD2500B-ITX and AD2700B-ITX both include a D-Sub output and 5.1-channel audio, while the AD2700-ITX provides D-Sub, DVI and HDMI ports and 7.1-channel sound. Also the two D2700-powered boards offer two USB 3.0 connectors using an ASMedia ASM1042 controller.

ASRock's Cedar Trail motherboards feature the Intel NM10 Express chipset, two DDR3 SO-DIMM slots (supporting up to 4 GB of RAM), two SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, one PCI slot, an Ethernet port (10/100 Mbit on the AD2500B-ITX, Gigabit for the other two), UEFI BIOS, and proprietary extras like ASRock Instant Boot, XFast USB and XFast LAN.
