Intel Ivy Bridge 3xxx CPUs and series 7 Chipsets Details

Today more details leaked on the net from Intel about its next generation of CPUs and motherboard chipsets, the new desktop platform generation code named "Maho Bay" (waiting for mobile info) will combine the next two series of Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs and Panther Point motherboard chipset.


The next generation of Intel CPUs called "Ivy Bridge" can be set as the third generation after the "Nehalem" , the "Sandy Bridge" and the "Ivy Bridge", this last will use for the first time a 22nm process technology and support the 1155 socket, targeting Intel Core i3/i5/i7 , Pentium Dual core and Celeron processors moving from the current 2xxx sandy bridge series to a new level 3xxx and the pentium/celeron it will pass to four digit like 2xxx, Ivy Bridge processors will be released in Q1/Q2 2012.

For the Panther Point chipsets it will include Q77, Q75, B75, Z77, Z75 and the H77, the  Panther Point chipset will support both Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge CPUs make it back compatible with the current generation of Intel CPUs, featuring USB 3.0 support, SATA 6Gb/s, Intel rapid storage Technology V11, with the new support of DirectX 11 thanks to the new Ivy Bridge graphics chipsts, the only dark point is that there is no support for the PCI Express 3.0 at the current listing, more features about each one bellow on the table bellow .
