Windows 8 sells better than Windows 7 Steve Ballmer said

Microsoft's Steve Ballmer report at Windows phone launch event that the new Windows 8 operating system is doing a good job on sales for the first weeks, better than the Windows 7 which was on of the best operating system for Microsoft with more than 670 million licenses in the first three years.

He said at the event "We're seeing preliminary demand well above where we were with Windows 7, which is gratifying," also he mention about Microsoft's surface that: "Over the weekend we saw an incredible response around the globe to Windows 8 and the Microsoft Surface,".
