AMD announced on last Friday that the company has received a design table, completed the first version of the Bulldozer-CPU architecture and it has been sent GlobalFoundriesin a production facility for manufacture 32 nm SOI technology.

We plan to begin sampling our Bulldozer based server and desktop Processors in the second half this year and of Remain a track for 2011 launches. Bulldozer module consists of two core or quad-core processor is two-Bulldozer-processor module and four modules. Bios update for palit GTX460 Sonic Platinum MOSFET heatsink Problem

In a phone conversation with Palit on Friday Guru3d guys have requested some sort of statement for the end-users, this arrived this morning:

To who it may concern,

That review sample is the very first model we made, after finalizing the BIOS, there was no need to add a VRM heatsink.

GTX 460 1GB "Sonic Platinum" without a MOSFET heatsink (the samples for review had the heat sink)

1. It is no need to add a heat sink for those components (MOSFET power circuit).

We had passed the thermal qualification testing for the the specification. The NV reference board does also not add it too.

2. 100% burning tests for the GTX460 1GB "Sonic Platinum" (We have tested and done burning test for each "Sonic Platinum" board before shipped out to our customers. The "Burning test" - with at least 2 hours under 45 Degree C inside the chamber

3. The temperature on the GPU, memory chips and VRM components of the GTX460 1GB "Sonic Platinum" is not over NV specification under 45 Degree chamber. (We run 3Dmark2006 "GT2" that was suggested by NV for the Thermal testing.

Please be confident with our serious testing process, which you do not need to be worries about an damage possibilities.

Guys at Hexus posted a photo's of the PCB for the dual GeForce GTX 480 GPUs. MARS II is Two GeForce GTX 480 GPUs (GF100-375-A3) are connected via a high-speed NF200 bridging chip.

Each GPU's six 64-bit memory controllers are serviced by, we imagine, double-density, double-width GDDR5. Three eight-pin PCIe connectors provide enough juice - to the tune of 450W-plus, it is reasonable to assume - and we're guessing that the sheer size of the proposed cooling would make the ARES' blush. Indeed, it wouldn't be surprising if this was a watercooling-only product.
