PCI Express 3.0 supported by Ivy Bridge CPUs

A news leaked on SA website says that Intel will integrate the PCI Express 3.0 support on its next Ivy Bridge LGA-1155 processors on a leaked roadmaps .


The Intel Ivy Bridge which is the first Intel processor to use the 22nm technology will feature a memory controller supporting up to two channels 1600Mhz DDR3 ,SATA 6Gb/s controller , USB 3.0 and DirectX 11 capability as well as an enhanced video encoding/decoding/transcoding ,when we come to performance Intel expect a 10-20 percent performance improvement over its predecessor sandybridge CPU's.
