Geforce GTX 980 and GTX 980M Vs GTX 880 Vs R9 290X benchmark comparison leaked

The next September 19 is the date for Nvidia to launch it's next generation of Geforce 900 series products for both mobile and desktop branch, skipping the 800 series for some reasons, the Geforce 900 series promise a better price for a higher performance compared to the 800 series, Videocardz managed to leak some benchmark results of the mobile and desktop 900 and 900m.

The next flagship single GPU Geforce GTX 980 will perform up to 20% faster than the GTX 880 with stock clock speed, and 12% better than the AMD Radeon R9 290X, check out the benchmark:

Now for the specifications of the GTX 980, the new beast will pack a GM104 "Maxwell" GPU 28nm and 4GB of GDDR5 video memory clocked at 7Ghz and a lower bus width only 256bit, thanks for the high memory rate to save the bandwidth speed, the GPU will pack 2560 units and 160/64 for the TMU/ROP, the core clock is rated at 1.12Ghz and can go up to 1.2Ghz with some OC knowledge.

Moving to the mobile products, the Geforce GTX 980m version is simply a mind-blowing jump compared to the GTX 880m, with 21% more performance for stock settings, and up to 40% faster than the GTX 880m in SLI configuration, check out the benchmark result comparison bellow:
