Radeon HD 6970 card pictured

Yesterday a forum member at Chinese forums ZOL has posted three picture of the AMD Radeon HD 6970 graphic card , the direct competitor of the Nvidia GTX 580 looks longer than the reference HD 6870 , the card is equipped with a big blower-type fan.

The thread poster also reveals some specification numbers for the card, 860 MHz for the GPU core clock , and 2GB GDDR5 memory.

The card have two crossfire connectors which eneble user to have 4-way CrossFireX and it require 8-pin+6-pin PCI-e power configuration the TDP is expected to be closer to 225W,The HD 6970 is expected to release in the second half of November.
