GeForce GTX 690 Vs GTX 680 first benchmark results on a Nvidia PR

The card will be available in a limited quantities starting from May 3, 2012 a,d a wider availability by May 7, 2012 from NVIDIA's partners, the card is targeting the enthusiasts fans to make them fly away with a whopping 3,072 Cuda cores and 512 bit (256bit for each GPU)wide bus interconnected with a total 4GB of GDDR5 video memory, all that must result to a red price tag, which is 1000$, note that the Geforce GTX 680 is currently between 470$ and 500$ range.


Benchmark results are interesting of course, the result according to Nvidia for the GTX 690 is 57.8fps on Crysis 2 everything on max, 2,500 x 1,600 resolution, using 301.10 driver version while the GTX 680 scored 31.1 fps.

On Dirt 3 racing game, using 8xAA/16xAF setting, the Nvidia Geforce GTX 690 score 111.2fps and the Geforce GTX 680 single-GPU score 62.3 fps.


Now for noise level, the GeForce GTX 690 record measurement was 47 dB while the record on GTX 680 in SLI mode (Two graphic cards) is four units higher with 51 dB
