Android 4.0.3 ICS for Galaxy S2 i9100G how to install official ROM

Here it is guys the big G is now going ice cream, finally after a long waiting Samsung leaked the official ROM of the Google Android 4.0.3 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) for Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100G, the official ROM leaked on France "I9100GXEFLPN", India "I9100GODDLP7", Vietnam "I9100GOLBLP6"and Malaysia "I9100GOLBLP6", and now i9100G users can upgrade their Galaxy S2 to the latest official Android operating system from Samsung.

So as soon as the ROM leaked I managed to write this article showing a step by step how to install this ROM with the easiest way, on this process will use Odin software method, so lets start.

  • First thing the battery must be 80% full for safety.
  • This update may erase all or some of your data so make a backup of your current data.
  • To install the device driver you need to download and install Samsung Kies if you dont have it over here.
  • Now download Odin from here, and download ICS ROM from Sammobile (you need to be registered) or download the French ROM version directly from this link, you can chose another country over here.
  • Note: Thought these ROM is for French, it will work fine but it's not guarantied, if you don't know what you are doing just wait for your country based ROM.
  •
  • Ok, Now lets start the update,  first check Debugging mode on your phone : Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging.
  • Turn off your i9100G and turn it on into download mode by holding VolumeDown+Home+Power button, you will see a download mode logo.
  • Now connect your smartphone into your computer, wait if any driver to install, then Start ODIN .
  • ODIN screen must show that a device is now connected  if everything is OK.
  • Now click on PDA button and select the ICS ROM you've downloaded.
  • Say some prayers and hit Start.
  • Odin will start flashing your ROM with the latest ICS OS, then your Galaxy S2 will restart with the latest Android version available now.

Thats everything, if you face any problem please leave a comment bellow and I will try my best to help you.

Next CryEngine 3 with high physics quality demonstration

Another Engine demonstration, after the precedent Frostbite Engine from DICE, here is an amazing demonstration from Crytek, recently we spotted a video show the most realistic 3D car physics using the new edition of CryEngine 3 still on work, to be used on the next Crysis 3 next year, the video show a car built using the new engine with an extreme soft-body physics.

Anything can be built in the Beam physics system - cars, trucks, planes, boats, trains, cranes, tanks, helicopters, and even destructible map objects and crash test dummies, the work is in progress, and can be improved, personally I think the next CryEngine 3 can be great on a racing and destruction video game like the old destruction derby more than adventure and FPS games, wait a min, why not using this engine on GTA ?

Battlefield 4 requirement is 64Bit OS with high texture quality

After the success of Battlefield 3 which won lot of prizes, DICE and EA currently are working on the next Engine for Battlefield 4, will be released on 2013 on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, the new FPS game seems to be very heavy compared with the third edition, that's what Johan Andersson, Rendering Architect at DICE and working on the new "Frostbite Engine" on a tweet text; saying  that Battlefield 4 will require 64-Bit Operating system.

We'll have Frostbite-powered games in 2013 that will _require_ a 64-bit OS. If you are on 32-bit, great opportunity to upgrade to Windows 8
According to that statement, the guys on DICE need more resources to run thier Engine, mean a new generation of high texture quality is coming next year, in addition to care about security threats buy using NX-bit feature available on the x64 OSs, and optimization of Engine code.

Check out this work, wondering if it's 64-Bit real life based:

We"ll keep you updated with any details about this game, stay tuned.

AMD FX 8150 overclocked to 8.80 GHz

Recently a Thai overclocker "ksin" guy managed to push the 32nm "Zambezi" AMD FX 8150 CPU to a whooping clock speed up to 8805.64 MHz, this confirm that the FX series from AMD are more friendly to high clock speed even with it's high heats.

So the guy set a new record with this achievement but sadly the validation was rejected from CPU-Z because of the because of the unrevealed cooling technique used., using a nice configuration, for base clock speed of 303.29 MHz and multiplier of 29.0x and feeding the CPU core with a 1.86V, the motherboard is an ASUS Crosshair V Formula and 4 GB (2x 2 GB) of ADATA-made DDR3 memory running @ only 1417Mhz.

Core i5-3350P specifications without integrated HD graphics

It's confirmed from Intel that two model of the new Ivy Bridge CPUs line will come without an integrated graphics chip inside, the CPU is the Core i5-3350P, with a "P" for lack of integrated Graphics.

The specifications of the Intel Core i5-3350P is a 22nm silicon used, a quad physical cores, no HyperThreading like similar core i5, using 6 MB of L3 cache memory and running @ clock speed 3.10 GHz, can achieve 3.30Mhz when in turbo Boost mode and of course without a integrated HD graphics, this mean that this CPU will come with a lower TDP equal to 69W and the good news is this result to a lower heats which mean more overclocking ability and a slight lower price tag, making it a great choice for gamers that don't know what mean an integrated graphics.

Advanced graphics quality achieved using Kepler GPUs in realtime

Nvidia introduced on the GDC a real time ray tracing demonstration using the latest Kepler GPU, as you'll see on this video the graphics technology is going fast enough to present such a thing running in real time, we can see new era on the future of video games using these new chip, but the real problem is that the current generation of consoles from 2006, are holding us back to the old gaming industry as long as they make games for booth consoles and PC, any ways lets wait and see the next Crysis, wish Im wrong.
