Nokia smartphones to use Microsoft windows phone OS soon

The giant Nokia announced that it will turn to Microsoft windows phone OS targeting the company's smart phones instead of its Symbian OS , and that is simehow logical after the dramatic fall of its sales these couple of years compared to the last years .

Nokia CEO Stephen Elop think that the relation with Microsoft will bring to nokia its good days , and here dont forget that Microsoft Bing search engine use Nokia maps.

Elop said:”Today, we are accelerating that change through a new path, aimed at regaining our smartphone leadership, reinforcing our mobile device platform and realizing our investments in the future.” also announcing departure of Nokia board member Alberto Torres, who was executive vice president in charge of MeeGo.

And the company stated:"Under the new strategy, MeeGo becomes an open-source, mobile operating system project. MeeGo will place increased emphasis on longer-term market exploration of next-generation devices, platforms and user experiences. Nokia still plans to ship a MeeGo-related product later this year."
