Intel Rosepoint SoC Atom detailed with integrated Wifi

After the graphic chip, memory controller and PCIe integration with the CPU, here is the Wifi chipset going inside with the CPU die on the same room, Intel report that they are currently building a new generation of Intel Atom CPUs or lets say a system on a chip or system on chip (SoC or SOC) with an integrated wireless controller supporting 2.4GHz radio and Wi-Fi.

The new chip will be built using 32nm process technology with code name "Rosepoint", according to Wired the new chip will reduce power consumption in addition to more compact size targeting mobile devices, Intel Chief Technical Officer Justin Rattner told Wired that the digital Wi-Fi chip should scale with Moore's law and has "state of the art power efficiency.", the chip will be introduced first in San Francisco this week, the new chip won't be commercially available for at least two years, the chip configuration is still under development now.
